Design Process Overview

Phase 1 – Client Intake
The initial phase of our design process focuses on becoming familiar with the client. By getting to know you and becoming familiar with your organization, we we will be in the best possible position to service your needs. This phase begins with a client intake form. This form helps give us an idea of your needs, preferences and any thoughts you may have about the product we are developing for you. Shortly thereafter we will discuss the intake form with you to get as much clarity detail as possible. Having more information in the initial stages of planning enables us to more quickly and thoroughly design a product to suit your needs.

Phase 2 – Keyword Analysis and Content Development (optional)
This phase encompasses the research and development of the keywords and content for your site. Keywords are words that are inserted into the HTML coding and content of your site. They are the foundation of a well-constructed, content rich, search engine friendly website. Thus, they should not be chosen arbitrarily. In this phase we conduct research to see which keywords would be the most appropriate for your site. Once they are selected, the content and architecture of your site are developed with these keywords as the foundation. The services within this phase are optional, but highly recommended.

Phase 3 – Design
Once the previous phase is complete, we will construct a “mockup” of your site. This is essentially a graphic layout of your site that is based upon the information you provided. Once we have prepared an initial mockup it will be submitted to you for your feedback and revise it accordingly. In this phase we are concerned with your site’s look and feel. The length of this phase is dependant upon the number of changes that you request. Once you are satisfied with the layout, the construction of your site will begin.

Phase 4 - HTML Construction
After the mockup has been approved, the site will be constructed in HTML. We recommend the keyword analysis, construction of meta-tags and website content are completed by the time. This will enable us to present you with a more polished version of your site. When the HTML version of your site is completed, it will be submitted to you for your approval. Based upon your feedback, your site will be revised accordingly. In this phase we are checking for your site's cohesion, usability and function. The length of this phase is dependant upon the revisions you request.
